LED light technology has made a significant impact on the cultivation industry. Since they’re introduction into indoor growing facilities, they have been increasingly replacing traditional lighting technology. A few reasons for this rapid shift is due to the fact that LED lighting systems are considerably more efficient than conventional fluorescent and HPS lighting, use less energy and are relatively inexpensive over time, making them the preferred choice for indoor growers regardless of the types of crops they plant. While the LED revolution is undoubtedly here to stay and traditional lights are quickly being replaced in grow rooms, there are a few tips and takeaways that can help growers achieve even better results with their lighting systems. Before we dive into the tips, it’s important to note that LEDs have proven to be effective in optimizing growth process of several plants and resulting in bigger yields, but only when their systems are set up appropriately.
